Basic knowledge of the software development lifecycle and some general analysis and design techniques is assumed.
This course is a prerequisite to advanced courses in OO Analysis and Design and Modelling with UML.

This course provides a good understanding of the principle fundamentals of Object technology that are essential to everyone involve in software development from business analysts and customers to programmers and testers.
Introduction to Object Technology a prerequisite to advanced courses in OO Analysis and Design and Modelling with UML and is for anyone who is interested in learning to understand the fundamental principles of Object Technology as well as its common terminology including but not restricted to:
- Management and Customers
- Business and system analysts
- System designers and Architects

- Introduction of both, procedural and object approaches to software engineering
- Introduction and deep discussion of the key concepts of Object Technology
- OO Analysis and Design
- Group discussions and exercises on the main concepts of Class and Object
