Who Should Attend?

This course is aimed at Business and Process Analysts intending to run workshops within their organisation. Prior knowledge of workshops is not required.

Course Objectives

This course will allow Business Analysts and Process Analysts to prepare, conduct and review workshops within their organisation and ensure the achievement of workshop objectives.

At the end of this short course the student will be able to:

  • Identify the need for workshops with their organisation and the within project lifecycle

  • Define and communicate the workshop purpose and objectives to stakeholders within their organisation

  • Determine the best approach for workshops depending on organisational and project factors

  • Demonstrate an ability to conduct a successful workshop

  • Review workshop success and identify improvements

  • Document workshop outcomes in accordance with their organisations standards

Course Description

In this subject students learn through an initial workshop conducted on how to achieve a successful workshop. This is followed by a series of short presentations and individual activities to allow the student to prepare for a workshop. The second day students will conduct a workshop to a group of peers, perform self-evaluation and perform a peer review based on groupdesigned review criteria.
