How to Apply for the Bachelor of Information Technology
You must apply through the Universities Admissions Centre (UAC) and nominate the BIT course, UAC code 603210, as one of your UAC preferences. This course is aimed primarily at current Australian Year 12 students.
You must also apply direct to UTS and complete the standard BIT application questionnaire. We have continued with the two round application process for 2009 applicants. To obtain this application you can:
- ask your careers adviser at school;
- phone or visit the Building 10 Student Centre;
- or download the pdf of the standard BIT application questionnaire [77KB].
Application closing dates for 2009 are:
Round One - 11 June 2008 with interviews in July school holidays;
Round Two - 31 October 2008 with interviews mid November.
Promising applicants will be short-listed by UTS and participating sponsor organisations and will be invited for interviews. The interviews will also continue to be held in two rounds.
You must possess the motivation and capacity to progress to a senior level of management. Students are selected on a combination of interview and UAI. It is expected that students will achieve a UAI around 90 or higher. Final acceptance into this course for 2009 will be determined following the release of HSC results in late December, 2008.
