Local Applicants

Applications for all IT postgraduate coursework degrees are made through UAC with an additional Postgraduate Coursework Supplementary Form completed online to UTS for certain programs.

To make an application for any of the IT postgraduate coursework degrees, please go to the postgraduate study pages on the UAC website.

All postgraduate applicants should also refer to the Applying: Postgraduate Study page for details about available courses and the required method of application.

Autumn 2009 Intake

UAC applications for the Autumn 2009 will open on 4 September and will close on:
Round 1 - 31 October 2008;
Round 2 - 28 November 2008;
Round 3 - 30 January 2009.

Available programs for the Autumn 2009 intake include:

  • Graduate Certificate in IT Project Management
  • Graduate Certificate in Strategic IT Leadership
  • Information Technology Program
  • Interactive Multimedia Program
  • Internetworking Program
  • IT Management Program

Additional Information Required

Applicants for the Interactive Multimedia Program, IT Management Program and the Graduate Certificate in Strategic IT Leadership must also complete the online Postgraduate Coursework Supplementary Form. This online form will ask you to answer a series of questions relating to your application that will be used in conjunction with your UAC application when deciding admission.

Please note that for the courses mentioned above, completing the online supplementary form is a mandatory requirement for your application in addition to applying through UAC. Your application will not be considered until we have received your online supplementary form and CV. Also note that you must complete the supplementary form online - we will not accept responses typed into a Word document or in hardcopy.

If you are applying for any of the courses in the IT Management program or the Graduate Certificate in Strategic IT Leadership (C11138, C06060, C04161 or C11190) you will also need to submit a letter of recommendation from your employer. The online supplementary form includes instructions on how to submit your letter of recommendation.

The supplementary form is not required from applicants for the Information Technology Program, the Internetworking Program and the Graduate Certificate in IT Project Management. If you are applying for one of these programs, please make sure you include details of any work experience in the UAC application form. UTS:IT staff may contact you by email or phone if further information is required.

International Applicants

International applicants apply directly to UTS through UTS:International. Generally, international applicants for postgraduate IT courses require a minimum qualification equivalent to an Australian Bachelors degree with a competitive pass. Entry into UTS:IT courses is competitive. Applicants are also required to meet or better the University's English language requirements.

Please note that international applicants should not complete the online supplementary application form mentioned above but are encouraged to include a personal statement and/or CV as part of their application.
