I decided to undertake the ITMP because I wanted to continue and extend my education, in particular in the areas of technology and executive management. The ITMP program at UTS was a perfect fit to my requirements, and allowed me sufficient flexibility to fit my studies around my work commitments.

I am passionate about outcomes resulting from the strategic alignment between business and technology and I understand the strength and competitive advantage created through such cooperation. My career goals were to broaden my strategic, technology, and people management skills, such that these skills could be applied within different organisations and businesses.

My current role encompasses executive management of the RESIMAC Group businesses and the associated technology. In essence the role of CIO is to harness technology to create business outcomes. Increasingly, second only to people, technology is the business element that can make or break a company's profitability, so my team and I play a critical role in RESIMAC's ongoing success.

Completing the ITMP significantly improved my professional expertise and marketability and it provided me the appropriate tools and knowledge to achieve my career goals with confidence. I am now a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and have learned that it's the combination of the human element, experience and qualifications that drives a successful person to build successful outcomes.
