Mark Czajkowski

Mark Czajkowski started studying at another university after completing his HSC, but decided to transfer to IT at UTS. Why?

"The Bachelor of Science in IT was the most up-to-date IT course out of all the universities I considered and UTS had the reputation for producing the best IT graduates. I wanted to be a part of this."

"Throughout my degree I have seen numerous course changes made to ensure that the degrees are always current and reflect what is happening in the industry. The course has been great. I really enjoyed the group project subjects where we worked in teams to solve problems."

Mark also completed the year long industry placement which is part of the Bachelor of Science in IT.

"For my industrial training I managed to get a job with IBM Business Consulting Services. My work involved automated testing of a large Enterprise Resource Planning project at an international airline. This expanded into doing a lot more planning and analysis as well as joining the Customer Relationship Management team to assist them in getting a smaller project up and running."

Mark benefited greatly from his industrial training experience and secured a full-time position with IBM Business Consulting Services before his placement was finished and well before completing his course.

"I've been exposed to lots of new technologies and methods used in the industry and I think the industrial training component of the course has been invaluable."
