Facilities

As an IT student at UTS you will have access to state-of-the-art facilities.

Our building is wireless and network connected with dial in remote access - so you can get the information you need at any time whether you are at uni, work or home.

There are 16 computer laboratories just for IT students at UTS. These labs are open from 9am to 9pm on weekdays and many have secure 24 hour, seven day a week access, so you can always find a computer or access printing services. We also have labs that operate in specialist areas including internetworking, computer graphics, access grid, collaborative systems and creative and cognition technologies.

As well as the computer labs we have study areas which are all network connected. You can plug your laptop in at any time almost anywhere in the building and access everything you need. There are also network connected breakout rooms that anyone can use, and reserve, for group work or just to catch up and study with friends.

The IT facilities at UTS are not just about study. We have a cafe in our building and comfortable lounge areas, including a postgraduate lounge, for relaxing between classes and catching up with friends at the end of the day. The kitchen areas are equipped with urns and microwaves so you can always grab a coffee or a quick snack when you need it.
