Department of Information Systems

Teaching and Learning

The discipline of Information Systems deals with the relationships between information technology and people, organisations and society. We study how computing and communications technology can be used to deliver needed information to people in organisations, and how these people access, interpret and use this information. We also study methodologies and management used for the development of information systems, the management of the IT function within organisations, and the development of IT strategy.

We share in the teaching acrosss the undergraduate programs and most of the postgraduate programs. We have particularly strong involvement in the Bachelor of Information Technology scholarship program and the Master of Business in Information Technology Management.
